Please be advised that the State of New Hampshire has approved rescinding reciprocity with the State of Vermont for wheeled vehicles. Effectively immediately Reciprocity has been rescinded for all VT Registered wheeled vehicles. Therefore to operate in the State of New Hampshire all riders must have a valid NH Registration.

NCATV NEWS LETTER MAY 2012
Trail Patrol:
Time to get the ATVs tuned up and ready to go!
Another season is close to starting and I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for signing up for trail patrol. On May 19th, we start with landowner appreciation day from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. You can pick up bags at Blueberry Hill or at Burns truck stop. Cleaning up the trails will go a long way in keeping our landowners happy. There will also be a cookout between 12:00 pm and 2:00pm at the Night Hawks clubhouse. The club is having a meeting following the cookout and I hope all of you will attend. After the club meeting I'm asking all trail patrol members to stay a few minutes so we can go over the agenda for this summer. At this time please let me know if you need a vest or have any other questions or concerns. I hope to have a few radios to pass out by then. This will be the perfect opportunity to bring me your Ideas and or any concerns you may have regarding this years trail patrol. Hope to see all of there!
Thank you and hope to see all of soon, -- Daniel Caouette
From the V.P. Chuck Geisler
Well folks the riding season is only a couple weeks away. To start this year off as NCATV Club has done in years passed, our first event for the year May 19th we have the land owner appreciation day, followed by later in the day NCATV club's general meeting. We have moved them to Saturdays this year to try and make it more convenient for folks to attend. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
I would like to remind everyone to check their wheelers over good for anything that might make for a bad weekend. Start with checking your Front tie rods, then move on to your Arm bushings and then spindle play and don't forget your front CV joints an wheel bearings. Don't forget to change the front diff. oil while your at it. Make sure your throttle works freely and return's easily. If you have a fuel filter now would also be a good time to change it. Change the spark plug, motor oil and filter and clean the the air filter and air box. check for any oil leaks. Don't forget about the radiator give this a good cleaning, making sure the fan spins freely, and check you anti freeze. If its been in there a while change it, if it a couple years old just check the level. As your going back through to the rear of your bike check the routing of your wires and vent lines for chafing, if you find some just make the needed adjustments. Double check your vents for your fuel tanks, and Carburetors, if you still have a carb. Them little mud bugs like to crawl up in there and plug them off if you have let it set for any length of time. Check you battery connection for corrosion. Don't forget to grease all your grease fittings front to rear. Do a visual check back through to the rear end of the frame for cracks or spots to be concerned about. Again check rear control arm or A arm bushings for side to side play CV joints and then your wheel bearings. Again while your there change the diff. gear oil. Set all tire pressure and check your lugs nuts for tightness. Good Preventive Maintenance can add trouble free riding time through the summer.
Hope to see you all May 19th for land owner appreciation day. Chuck Geisler
From the President Troy Burns.
Hello everyone.
This past month we had our OHRV course. Our instructors were Ted Burns, Marty Lomasney, and Bryan Hadlock. Glenn Lucas of NH F&G and Harry Brown also gave lectures on OHRV Laws and safety. Students were Brandon White, Ben & Hannah Curley, Lydia Donovan, Tarren Eldred, Tyler Gilman, and Taylor & Holly Mara.
Tyler will be receiving a free NCATV membership for a perfect score on his test. Good job by everyone.
On May 12th we had a small detail go out to inspect trails. Trash details as well as work details will be needed for Land Owner Appreciation Day. We have a bridge out on Bordeau trail and a culvert washed out on Marquis Trail. Other than that the trails are in pretty good shape. Hope to see you this weekend.

COMING SOON: LIMITED ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLE RECIPROCITY WITH VERMONT
CONCORD, N.H. -- All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) enthusiasts in New Hampshire and
Vermont will soon be able to enjoy limited ATV reciprocity between the two
states.
During 2012 and 2013, from May 23 through December 1, ATVs that are properly
registered in Vermont may be operated in New Hampshire on state ATV trails
without being required to obtain a New Hampshire Off-Highway Recreational
Vehicle (OHRV) registration.
Likewise, properly registered New Hampshire ATVs may operate in Vermont on
approved ATV trails during the May 23 to December 1 time period without the
requirement to purchase a state of Vermont registration, however a Vermont
All Terrain Vehicle Sportsmen Association (VASA) trail pass is required, on
VASA trails, as well as proof of having completed an approved ATV safety
class for operators under 18 years of age.
This rule includes a two-year sunset provision and will end on December 1,
2013.
Vermont ATV enthusiasts riding in New Hampshire must follow all applicable
laws and rules governing operation, include youth operation
requirements, spark arrestors, exhaust requirements, etc. Any operator 12
years of age and over must show proof of an approved safety education class
or possess a valid motor vehicle driver's license.
An ATV is defined as any motor-driven vehicle which has one or more
low-pressure tires (less than 10 pounds per square inch), weighing less than
1,000 pounds and not exceeding 50 inches in width. Therefore, operation of
side-by-side utility vehicles (UTVs) and trail bikes is not included in this
new rule. These vehicles must be properly registered in New Hampshire to
ride here, and may only ride in approved areas.
